In a word, Nitro CaliberTM is revolutionary. It not only meets, but also exceeds, Stanbee’s mission of producing thinner, stronger, and more resilient components. As with all of our Nitro products, we use our patented foaming process to infuse nitrogen gas into the material’s polymer core, thus displacing a portion of the core. As a result, Nitro CaliberTM is exceptionally lightweight. Plus, it’s ultra-flexible, resists moisture and retains its shape remarkably well. Even better, this thermoplastic, extruded material contains 86% recycled content and is available in our Zero Waste Net Part Program. This is a sustainable, high-quality, cost-effective solution for all of your heel counter or box-toe applications. Our standard offerings are below. WORK PREPARATION
Cutting:
Cut in any direction to maximize yields.
Heat activation:
Bond-line temperature 85°C to 95°C. Recommended 90°C.
Cold mold:
Recommended 0° to 5°C. Allow sufficient dwell time to secure minimum bond-line temperature of 30°C.

Nitro CALIBER™ components are made from a proprietary polymer blend. Both outer layers have an exclusive hot-melt adhesive that bonds to all uppers, even leathers with a high oil content.

This product is part of our Stanbee Zero Waste Program. It is ordered by the part instead of by the sheet, and all cutting waste is recycled in house. Provide a DXF file of the full-size run, and we’ll deliver production-ready components.
